Those things that hinder

Isaiah 43:16-20
Thus saith the Lord , which maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters;  Which bringeth forth the chariot and horse, the army and the power; they shall lie down together, they shall not rise: they are extinct, they are quenched as tow.  Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.  Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.  The beast of the field shall honor me, the dragons and the owls: because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen.
Isaiah 43:16-20 KJV

Psalm 40:1-3
I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.  He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.  And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord .

Kingdom Minded Prayer

Thursday, April 7, 2016 | Kingdom Minded Prayer | Pastor Tim Babatunde

power of god one
Let us get into the habit of deliberately appreciating and honoring God at every opportunity like this morning. When we honor God, He honors us in return. We need to bear in mind that every labor without God amounts to absolutely nothing, my charge to you today is to acknowledge God always and my prayer is that God may establish your goings.
Today, we pray for the anointing and awareness to reach out to souls.
We pray for the establishment of Souls that get drawn into the kingdom of God.
May God grant us the grace to deal with each other truthfully and correct each other in love.
May our lives exude the pleasant aroma of Jesus Christ.
We pray for revival and renewal in each life and home.
As we yield to God, He pours floods on our dry grounds and brings about fruitfulness.

What Is Prayer To You?

What Is Prayer To You?

Prayer has become a taboo to many in Christianity and in life in general. As much as I believe that needs can be met when you pray. I believe that the reason many pray is greatly for selfish reasons and therefore many aspect of life’s issues are left unattended because we do not see how it really affects us. We are commanded in Philippians two not to consider just our needs but of others. When the reason for something is wrong there will be great abuse, there has been a great abuse of Prayer.
Prayer to some is an emergency approach to reach God, prayer has become a tool that many try to use or stir God towards personal mundane and selfish needs. We need to engage in prayers that affect the destiny of cities and nations. The fact that cities and nations resemble war zones is a reflection of the fact that the welfare or cities and nations does not really concern the church or believers in general. There is a price for everything, when we pay the price we can then claim ownership of what we desire.
Selfish prayer can only affect and go so far. God is a wonderful father and deals with us according to his mercy. Ministers now put a price tag on the prayers made for people. Is this really prayer or an easy way to take advantage of the ignorance of people eager to see their needs met at all cost. In order not to pursue prayer wrongfully and ignorantly we must define prayer biblically and look at the life of men that really prayed and in particular the life of the man that stands above all that prayed till date; our Lord Jesus.
There are various questions that we must answer before we can genuinely engage in the kind of prayers that will move God into action. Jesus could confidently declared that his father hears him always, this is comforting to the heart of anyone approaching the father in prayer. The scripture declares that if we ask according to his will we know that he hears us. In the weeks to come, we will examine the prayer lives of Jesus, Abraham, Moses, David, Paul etc and present day saints.
Prayer and the study of God’s word, go hand in hand, keep studying and meditating on the word, that you may pray according to his will.

Open My Eyes That I Might See!

Open My Eyes That I Might See!

And it came to pass, that as he was come nigh unto Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the way side begging: And hearing the multitude pass by, he asked what it meant. And they told him, that Jesus of Nazareth passeth by. And he cried, saying, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me. And they which went before rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried so much the more, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me. And Jesus stood, and commanded him to be brought unto him: and when he was come near, he asked him, Saying, What wilt thou that I shall do unto thee? And he said, Lord, that I may receive my sight. And Jesus said unto him, Receive thy sight: thy faith hath saved thee. And immediately he received his sight, and followed him, glorifying God: and all the people, when they saw it, gave praise unto God. (Luke 18:35-43 KJV)
As we prepare for this time of Fasting and Prayer, I will like us to consider this passage of scripture above. As we can see, this man had been in a state of dependency for a while. He was at the mercy of people, borrowing their vision to inform his actions.
Glory to God ! He had an encounter that transformed his life forever. He had to overcome certain barriers. The first was that of the noise of the people that was drowning his cry to Jesus for assistance. He broke through this barrier, by his persistence and determination. He then overcame the second hurdle of intimidation. When others challenged him to desist from calling on Jesus, he refused to be intimidated. The Bible recorded that ” he cried the more” He was very determined and displayed the tenacity that is characteristic of every champion. The third and final hurdle that he overcome was what was apparent to everyone: “BLINDNESS”
He said to Jesus ” That I may receive my sight” He was convinced that seeing belonged to Him. Likewise, you need to be convinced that healing, prosperity, favor, success, fruitfulness, joy, peace, happiness, divine fulfillment, promotion, longevity and abundant provision belong to you and you need to approach God by calling on Jesus. The key to unlocking these promises were echoed by Jesus: ” thy faith has saved thee” I believe that you are next in line to hear this in the precious name of Jesus Christ. (Amen)
Jesus said to him ” Receive your sight” It is God’s desire for your sight to be whole and sound, physically, mentally and spiritually in the eyes of your heart. Most blind people are limited by their sight, but a great percentage of believers are limited in the exploits in life because of their inner eyes. I am believing that during our time of fasting and prayer, new sight will erupt in the lives of many. Mistakes that you have made before now will be done away with and together we shall receive fresh sight.
FOR OUR EYES TO OPEN WE MUST ENCOUNTER THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD THAT MAKES ONE WISE.
Shalom
