Rest In God, The Key To Divine Intervention

When we put our trust in God and rest in Him, we allow Him to move on our behalf, on the other hand when we give in to the intimidation of the devil , we become an easy prey to him and his devices. The age long strategy of the devil is fear, harassment and intimidation to shake our confidence in God. Words are a major avenue for the devil’s intimidation. In the stories of Hezekiah and Senacherib, Herod and the early church, the ambush of Elisha and Gehazi and much more, we see the harassment of the evil one with words, threats and intimidating acts. What about the story of the 4 Hebrew boys and the fiery furnace. Read these accounts in 2 Chronicles 32, Acts 12:1-3, 2 Kings 6:16-17 and Daniel 3 When the people of Judah got terrified by the threats of Sennacherib, Hezekiah spoke some words to encourage them and cause them to rest in God: “6And he set combat commanders over the people and gathered them together to him in the square at the gate of the city and spoke encouragingly to them, saying, 7“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or dismayed before the king of Assyria and all the horde that is with him, for there are more with us than with him. 8With him is an arm of flesh, but with us is the Lord our God, to help us and to fight our battles.” And the people took confidence from the words of Hezekiah king of Judah” 2 Chronicles 32:6-9 Our part is to attack our fears with God’s words, build our faith on God’s words and pray to God in faith. He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD. Psalm 112:7 20My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings.Do not let them depart from your sight; Keep them in the midst of your heart. For they are life to those who find them. And health to all their body. Proverbs 4:20-22 Always see the situation through God’s eyes, trust and rest in him, pray to Him and wait on Him.Listen to Prayer Archives 24/7 at:
